Musk has repeatedly criticized OpenAI’s ChatGPT and similar chatbots for being “overly restrictive”. In this direction, Grok stands out as an artificial intelligence focused on free speech. In addition to offering users the freedom to discuss, it includes features such as text-to-image production. Thanks to Musk’s ownership of the X platform and xAI, Grok can provide real-time access to X content, and the results can be shared as X posts.
Grok is an artificial intelligence tool that can answer users’ questions, create texts and perform various tasks.
With the development of the artificial intelligence world, Gemini and Copliot moves came from Google and Microsoft, respectively, against OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Famous billionaire Elon Musk became a competitor to ChatGPT with Grok, which he started developing last year.
A pleasing development regarding Grok, which works on the X platform, has been announced. The artificial intelligence tool, which until now was only available to X’s Premium subscribers, now has a free version.
X Launches Free Version of Grok
Grok, launched last year by Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, was only recently available to Premium members on the X platform. The other day, however, the company made a move that will completely change that.
Elon Musk aims to improve the user experience by strengthening the X platform with artificial intelligence features. Grok is an integral part of this strategy.
Grok’s free access will enable productive AI technologies to reach a wider audience. This way, more people will be able to enjoy the benefits of artificial intelligence.
New AI centre with 1 million GPUs
To power the technology behind Grok, xAI is building a multi-billion dollar supercomputer in Memphis. Musk’s team completed this process, which is critical for developing large language models, by installing Nvidia’s massive GPU infrastructure. The new goal is to grow this centre to 1 million GPUs and overtake OpenAI and Google’s AI model Gemini.
A direct competitor to ChatGPT
Musk sees Grok becoming free as a strategic move against giants like OpenAI and Google. Musk aims to attract users with the chatbot’s promise of “free speech” and advanced technical infrastructure.
